Welcome
A Dallas Original
The Dallas Ginger Man was the second member of the family,
and has been serving fine beer since 1992. An aspect unique to the Dallas
pub is the beautiful upstairs lounge with its own bar and balcony. As do
the other members of The Ginger Man family, the Dallas pub has a comfortable
beer garden in back. Need
a map?
We hope you enjoy this virtual visit to our
pub, but it pales in comparison to actually stopping in for a refreshing
pint.

New beer
on draught (coming throughout the month)
Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale - "A classic American pale
ale, Mirror Pond Pale Ale uses generous quantities of Cascade hops, offering
a lush floral aroma with a balanced malt body."
http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/Brews/default.aspx
Stone 13th Anniversary Ale - "pours brilliant deep red with a light
tan foam. Up front, the aroma is all piney, resinous and citrus hops. Upon
tasting, the hops are still on the front, and they are balanced with the
malty, toffee like flavors contributed from the blend of crystal and amber
malts used in the brewhouse. The finish is deliciously bitter, with a touch
of warmth provided by the 9.5% alcohol. Bitterness comes in at 90+ IBU."

Stone Vertical Epic 09.09.09 - "The idea of brewing a Belgian Imperial
Porter was something that we had discussed a few times in the past few
years, especially after taste panel sessions that had included Belgian
Imperial Stouts and Belgian Black beers. Roasted malts and the spicy, fruity
flavors from Belgian yeast strains combine surprisingly well, provided
proper balance is maintained in the recipe. And we thought an Imperial
Porter, with an intense chocolate malt character, might be a fun, and a
bit different, version of a Belgian dark ale to try. With the Stone 09.09.09
Vertical Epic Ale, we were also able to incorporate some ingredients and
techniques that we had been exploring a bit with our pilot system and small
batch special creation program, such as the use of vanilla beans, tangerine
peel, and the French oak chip aging process. The vanilla bean (used at
a lower addition rate than what we use in the Stone Smoked Porter with
Vanilla Bean) complements and actually enhances the chocolate flavors from
the chocolate malt, and likewise, the French oak enhances the sensation
of vanilla. Combined together with the other ingredients, the result is
a multifaceted, delicious beer with several layers of depth and flavor."

Moose Drool Brown Ale - "That first taste, the best part of a beer
after a long day. We want to make that better than ever. So we made Moose
Drool. The name sounds a little iffy, but it's really the best Brown Ale
you'll ever taste. That's why Moose Drool is far and away the best-selling
beer brewed in Montana. It's chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture.
A malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet.
The aroma mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spice added by the
hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black
malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and WILLAMETTE HOPS. It has an original
gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume."

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout - "We use three mashes to brew each
batch of this beer, achieving a luscious deep dark chocolate flavor through
a blend of specially roasted malts. We brew it every year for the winter
season. It is delicious when newly bottled, but also ages beautifully for
years."

New Belgium Fall Wild Ale - "our mahogany-hued autumn ale spiced
with schisandra, opens with the floral, earthy notes of fall itself. Schisandra
berries, known as "five flavor fruit," possess a panoply of flavors
. This malt-forward dubbel ale is fermented with a Trappist yeast and finishes
dry and slightly sour from a touch of bretta. Fall Wild Ale weighs in at
8.5% abv. Autumn in your glass!"

New beer in a bottle (coming throughout the month)
Lefebvre Hopus - "Tasting the beer gives great hoppy flavours.
Not too overwhelming, but pleasantly detected. Five different hop varieties
are inserted, which gives the beer a complex flowery treat. Amazing how soft
this beer is. The soft water is responsible for that. VERY soft ! Also, I
noticed a candi sugar sweetness, perfectly balancing out the hop bitterness.
Something spicy was noticed too.... very subtle. This orange blond, somewhat
hazy beer has a great white foam. Very similar to the Duvel head. This means,
it evolves into rocky structures. With its 8.5 vol%, a great body has been
achieved, and I certainly would classify this beer between a Golden Ale and
a Triple. It really has the best of both."

Boulevard Harvest Dance Wheat Wine - "Wheat wines are a somewhat
recent stylistic development, akin to barleywines in strength, but brewed
with a large portion of wheat malt, which provides a soft mouthfeel to
balance the big body of these warming brews. We add a generous helping
of Hallertau and Citra hops, and age the beer on both French and American
oak, resulting in a beer that opens up with a warming burst of tropical
fruit flavors, adding subtle Sauvignon Blanc notes before rounding slowly
to a dry, oaky finish. This is a perfect beer for sharing with friends
and family as we gather together for the fall and winter holidays. Pairs
well with with aged cheese or seasonal squash and pumpkin dishes. And though
it may appear that Miss Wheat is about to be cut down in her prime, have
no fear: just pour a glass of Harvest Dance and you'll find she's alive
and well." ABV 9.1%
