Special relationships with other businesses and groups

Being in business for so many years in the same location, we've developed friendly ongoing relationships with a number of groups and other businesses. Here are some of them, in no particular order. If you feel you've been left out just drop us a line (use the "Contact Us" link on the bottom of every page).

Idle Rich – We have shared many things with The Idle Rich and their owners through the years - Employees, tools, customers, and even Fergal’s wife worked here once upon a long time ago.

Jake’s Hamburgers – Just a block away, Jake’s keeps us all well fed. Their hamburgers are so good, you don’t even mind getting poppy seeds in your teeth from the buns. Great food and great people.

Up In Smoke – City Cigars keeps us and many of our cigar smoking patrons well stocked with great cigars.

Penn State Alumni – The North Texas Penn State Alumni chapter president has been a regular of the Dallas Ginger Man since it opened. They host several parties here throughout the year and have after game gatherings almost every weekend of football season, not to mention all the other times we see Penn State people around the bar.

Tin Star – Tin Star is our closest neighbor. We share our back fence with them as well as parking lots. We go eat their food and they come drink our beer. What more could you ask for in a neighbor.

Post Properties – Post Properties owns the majority of apartment buildings in our neighborhood and many of our regulars reside in their complexes. They often host happy hour parties and other events for their residents here. If you want to live close to The Ginger Man, Post is the place to live.
Uptown Dallas Association – The Uptown Dallas Association is an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the area businesses and residents. They do a wonderful job of helping to keep Uptown Dallas a great place to live, play and work.

The Observer – The Observer is a free local paper that is the place to go to find out what is going on in the city. They do an awesome job of helping us to promote all the fun things we do here. You will often see them floating around the bar with cameras capturing the great moments and special events.

More importantly than being a true Texas success story, the Saint Arnold brewery makes great beer. We may not always carry all of their products (there are so many beers and so little tapwall and cooler space), but we usually have many of them.
